How To Live A Life Of Fullness In A World That Is Empty.

Something I remember asking myself as a little girl is, what’s the point to life if all we do is to live to die? We build our lives around family, friends, and retirement all to one day die and leave it all on this earth. I have never seen a hearse with a Uhal behind it 🙂 Everything that we live, and strive for doesn’t get to come with us. So why do we strive to build this magnificent life? What’s the point? “There’s got to be more to this picture” I thought to myself. So what is the point of life?

In Genesis 1:26 God said Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;

In Genesis 1:27 God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created them male and female.

Some important facts to be noted about humans are; we were created by God Himself, we were not created by a big bang that just suddenly happened, we didn’t evolve from some sort of bacteria which lead to monkeys and ended up here as humans. No certainly not! God created each and every single one of us which means we are creatures who are solely dependent upon Him.

Humans are created in the image of God whether you want to believe it or not, therefore we are wired the same as God. God is spirit therefore God has equipped in us a inner spiritual nature that enables us to to know Him and worship Him. We humans are designed to have a relationship with our Maker, He created us so He could enjoy us and that we may find our joy and be made complete in Him and His creation.

This is why us humans dating back from the beginning of creation have always looked for something to worship or something to pray to when bad things come our way. This is why most of the people of this world idolize people, material things, and money. Our humanness is looking for something to fill the empty inner void that we feel inside the depths of our hearts. Our bodies are constantly craving something, but nothing can ever satisfy us, we always want more! If it does bring us satisfaction it’s only temporary and we are back at it again…. Looking and searching….. Searching for something to make us happy, to fill a void, to cover up our hurts and pains, searching for a sense of belonging. Why? Because God designed us to worship, He gave us a spiritual nature, and if we don’t know where to go to get our fulfillment we will try everything and anything to fill it.

“People Often choose beliefs based on how they want to look at the world. They believe what they want to believe so they can do what they want to do.” ~ Norman Geisler

The quote above is the reason why everyone has a different religion, a different set of moral standards, a different perspective on life. It is so we can do what we want to do. But this isn’t the way God created us to be, He created us to be in worship with Him the one true God of the Holy Bible and our Creator; in prayer, meditation, and song without ceasing. We as humans are so lost we don’t even realize we’re lost. Somewhere in all this madness there lies the Absolute Truth. If we embrace everything we stand for nothing! If there is no one true God the n everything would be permitted. There would be no standards of right and wrong! No morals. If we stop for a second and look around, this describes the very world we live in today! Chaos. Looking like a bunch of chickens with our heads cut off going about in every direction.

But what if we looked in the mirror at our reflection for few seconds, and reevaluated ourselves, our beliefs and our standards. Where do you stand?  Do you stand for everything? To each their own? I’m a good person! I tried all that church stuff. I have heard of Jesus. What is it that you believe you were created for?

So what is the absolute truth? I can honestly answer this question in one word JESUS! The true meaning of life and life’s fulfillment can be found only in having a personal relationship with God. Nothing other than God! Ravi Zacharias says, “Jesus stated without a doubt that God is the author of life and that meaning in life is found in knowing Him.” All other religions in the world except for Christianity, say “do this” to get to heaven. Christianity isn’t about doing something it’s about what’s already been done and that is Jesus dying on the cross for you, even if you were the only one on this planet He would have died for you.

SO HOW DO WE FIND FULFILLMENT IN AN EMPTY WORLD?

1) For those of you that don’t know Jesus as your Lord and Savior this is your first step! Get to know Him, you were created for Him and in His image. Attend a Bible based church. Not a church that offers any other books, statue, or anything else other than the Bible, just the Bible Gods Holy Word is all you need! Anything more is False doctrine. Jesus of the Holy Bible is Your true fulfillment in life.

Jesus says “those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.”  John 4:14

Once you know Jesus, you will desire to know Him more and more each day!

2) Secondly know that you were created far more than to just live and die. Once you know Christ you will never die, Christ defeated death on the cross, your earthly body will pass away but your soul and spirit will live in eternity with Jesus! It’s why we were created in the first place. It gives us hope for the future and that is what I cling to when my life seems torn upside down.

“For this world is not our permanent home; we are looking forward to a home yet to come.” Hebrews 13:14

3)  Life is hard and life hurts, and pretty much life sucks sometimes. How do we find fulfillment in these times, in our life? For some life has been harder on others.

Where do we Go?

“The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.”

Psalm 9:9-10

Jesus gives us a peace in our hearts and minds through the hard times in life.

He says My Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27

4) We have joy and fulfillment in what is to come. The Bible tells us in Revalation…….

He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. Revelation 21:4

No More pain, no more tears, no more mourning.

5) We can know, that we know, that we KNOW, that we are going to heaven. Without a doubt the Bible is very clear that no man will enter the kingdom of heaven without the blood of Jesus. The Jesus of the Holy Bible is the ONLY way to enter the gates of heaven. There. Is. No. Other. Way.

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. John 14:6

Jesus said I am the gate. If anyone enters through Me, he will be saved John 14:6

We are spiritual beings looking for spiritual fulfillment in everything else other than what we are created for. My prayer through this blog is that The Lord will speak to you, yes, you the one reading this on the other side of this screen. That you maybe found in Him, that you may find your fulfillment in Christ alone. In Colossians 1:19 it says “for it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Jesus.” Christ is our fulfillment here in this hard life on earth. He is our peace, or comfort, our identity! He is what you’ve been searching for.

Those who love Him and those who seek Him diligently will find HIM!

But now, O LORD, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand. Isaiah 64:8
